Ensures that an annual supplier on-site audit schedule is generated, maintained, and documented accordingly.  Responsible for the development of on-site audit plans, performing audit confirmations with the auditee, performing and/or ensuring the performance of the required audits, performing effectiveness checks for previous CAPAs where applicable, preparing the audit report, sending the audit report to the auditee, ensuring that audit findings are appropriately addressed, and closing the audits reports. This position will be responsible for reviewing the actions performed associated with supplier/vendor nonconformance’s, deviations, and quality investigations.  Responsible for initiating supplier investigation reports and where applicable ensuring supplier corrective and preventive actions are taken as needed. Responsible for ensuring the supplier Master file is maintained and ensuring that all supplier files remain current. Perform tracking & trending of supplier metrics for management review & identify improvement plans.Works collaboratively with teams from purchasing, manufacturing, quality, research & development, regulatory, finance, and marketing as necessary.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulations and guidelines: FDA Current Good Tissue Practices (21 CFR 1270/1271),  AATB Standards for Tissue Banking, all applicable ISO standards, Quality System Regulation (21 CFR 820), LifeCell corporation policies  and procedures, and other applicable regulations / standards. 2. Monitors all regulatory requirements, both national and international including ISO 13485:2003, ISO9001:2008, Canadian Regulations, EU,  Australia, state & federal regulations and ensures that all policies, procedures & operations are conducted in conformance with these  standards/regulations. 3. Maintain LifeCell’s Non-human Tissue Supplier Quality Audit Program.    This includes responsibility for reviewing supplier request forms,  ensuring that all supplier evaluation criteria is maintained and is current as applicable, including supplier on-site audits, the completion of  surveys, and obtaining current quality certifications.  Also responsible to review and assess all supplier/vendor associated non-conformances,  recalls, advisory notices and ensure corrective action where appropriate. 4. Compile and contribute supplier audit metrics. Establish and maintain quality metrics for non-human tissue supplier audits and performance. 5. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and states. Work to ensure that LifeCell’s supplier policies, procedures, and operations are  conducted in accordance with applicable International, Federal, and State regulations. 6. Assist in oversight of CAPA system. This includes reviewing CAPA documentation for accuracy and completeness and reviewing for  effectiveness of CAPA actions performed as required. 7. Work collaboratively within LifeCell. Work with teams from manufacturing, regulatory, R&D, finance, marketing, and quality to ensure  supplier compliance. 8. Support the Quality Compliance Team. Contribute to the overall optimization of the Compliance team.
