A leading U.S.-based international insurance and financial services organization is seeking a Tax Compliance officer. This individual will be involved in the following: ⢠Conduct periodic reviews of existing compliance policies and procedures to determine if such policies and procedures address the business operations. Collaborate with the Internal Audit team and General Counsel to develop additional policies and procedures to add and/or supplement such existing compliance policies and procedures. ⢠Work on due diligence reviews for joint ventures and other real estate activities and actively liaise with the applicable dedicated compliance and/or legal professionals on issues and processes. Also be involved in other legal/regulatory issues governing the business activities ⢠Review private placement memoranda, correspondence to investors, side letters and deal memoranda to identify any compliance or regulatory concerns. ⢠Partner with regional associates to ensure that local review of private placement memoranda, correspondence to investors, side letters and deal memoranda are being accomplished locally to identify any compliance or regulatory concerns. ⢠Monitor the progress of marketing material for potential investors. ⢠Assist the Chief Compliance Officers in their oversight of compliance of the investment management business globally, concerning the provisions of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other relevant global securities laws. ⢠To assist the Chief Compliance Officers in their oversight of the investment business concerning real estate transactions contemplated by the group. ⢠Monitor the daily compliance of the business with the relevant Rules, Regulations, internal policies and procedures. the successful candidate must possess 3 or more years experience in the compliance operations of a registered investment adviser or bank asset management department, or other federal securities regulatory entity.Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
