The Application Developer III plans, conducts and coordinates the design and implementation of complex ERP software to meet existing and anticipated user requirements.
The Application Developer III performs analysis of software specifications and translates specifications into programming code, troubleshoots existing code, debugs programs, prepares software tests, and produces program documentation.The Application Developer III coordinates the development of new technical project roadmaps to reflect objectives and the resources required to develop systems that meet Berklee needs.
Reviews system logic for optimum throughput.As an experienced member of the Applications Development team, the Application Developer III adds technical expertise, industry knowledge, and informed opinion to team and project discussions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct analysis of complex ERP software application and integration needs and prepare technical specifications for the development required to meet client needs2 Troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP software problems3 Work side-by-side with team members in a hands-on capacity in order to ensure that all deliverables meet client expectations4 Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams, providing realistic deliverable deadlines and prompt feedback5 Perform code reviews of work produced by junior members of the team6 Participate in the maintenance of stable development, quality assurance, stage and production environments using best practice techniques7 Follow Enterprise Systems guidelines8 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1. BA degree and 5-7 years of related experience developing ERP software applications preferably within the Datatel Colleague environment2 Experience with developing requirements for ERP application development3 Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats as well as to create and maintain positive, productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical personnel4 Excellent judgment and strategic skills for ensuring mutually positive outcomes, balancing internal priorities against client objectives, and guarding against unnecessary risk5 Knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies6 Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university7 Ability to manage multiple tasks, assignments and projects.
