Assistant Director, HRISReporting to the Assistant Dean and Chief Human Resources Officer, the Assistant Director for HRIS will direct the Law School’s HRIS and payroll systems for staff.
This role has primary responsibility for developing and implementing HRIS/payroll systems solutions to HR business needs, including production of systems reports to inform business decisions.
Acts as leader in ensuring efficient, accurate and timely processing of payroll and personnel transactions consistent with applicable laws and policies.
Called upon to counsel and inform managers and staff of proper payroll guidelines and procedures while developing strong relationships.
The successful person in this role will be seen as an internal resource to staff on all HRIS matters and will offer proactive solutions to potential issues that may arise.
Provides accurate reporting as necessary using multiple systems sources.
Also responsible for maintaining and adapting internal audit procedures.
Participates in relevant University committees to build a resource network and expand knowledge base.
Manages the HRIS Associate and HRIS Assistant.
The ideal candidate also will be qualified to provide HR Generalist support to a limited portfolio of assigned departmental clients and update and maintain HR department websites.
Collaborates with other team members on the development and management of new HR programs, including projects supporting employee engagement.
Contributes to other HR goals as required.
7+ years of progressively responsible HR and/or HRIS experience, including advanced knowledge of human resource systems.
Bachelor’s degree required.
