This is an exciting position working with a group of talented technicians on SECOND SHIFT.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
1. Understands how to repair and install food processing machines.
2. Well versed on General Controls and PLC system.
3. Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers servos, gears, sprockets chains, knives
4. Cleans, lubricates and adjusts guides, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation.
5. Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.
6. Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders ect.) on our production machinery to allow us to run a different size, shape or product.
7. Installs new equipment.
8. Actively seeks to find problems in assignment area and correct before the problem becomes critical.
9. Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems.
10. Displays cooperation by working closely with Production personnel.
11. Adheres to all plant safety, sanitation, and quality assurance programs and follows our good manufacturing practices.
12. Must work all scheduled overtime.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must understand the structure and process of food manufacturing equipment.
- 5 year experience prefered – High School Diploma or G.ED Technical School – Food manufacturing experience preferred We are a rapidly expanding leader in the food processing industry.
