Sales/Account People- SUMMARY: Assist job seekers in finding employment by forging relationships with employers to meet their hiring needs.
Successfully match the skills and abilities of the jobseeker to the right employment opportunities, identified by the individual retaining the job for more than a year.
Sales /Account staff are responsible for (aggressively) generating new business and maintaining existing accounts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet and understand the skills of the participants to identify and discuss barriers to employment, as well as how to best overcome and present them to employers
Provide assistance in finding employment for jobseekers through utilization of all community resources
Successfully match the skills and abilities of the jobseeker to the right employment opportunities so the individual is successful in retaining the job as represented by the recruit to hire ratio
Manage the day-to-day relationship with jobseekers, address jobseekers concerns promptly with an action plan to ensure satisfaction; Document all findings with case notes in a clear, concise, and timely manner
Knowledge and professional understanding of a vast array of occupations/career paths (ie Flash/web designers and developers, Information Architects, Art Directors, and other creatives) for effective placement/processing and assessment of clients as well as determining services most appropriate for their career goals
Successful development and management of employers within the community as well as adjacent to the community to address their hiring needs
Understand the employer hiring needs and referring the best candidates to the position, thereby increasing the recruit to hire ratio
Successfully find, develop and recruit New Openings
Successfully fill placement goals and increase wage
Effective communication and coordination to other staff members to ensure program performance goals are achieved
Implement successful advertising strategies to increase participation in onsite recruitments, job fairs and other center sponsored activities aimed at filling job placement goals
Provides motivational support to customers during the job search process
Successfully document jobseeker success stories internally and externally
Creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for Account Management Team and assists in the training of other staff members in those guidelines
Works under direction of the Program Director to facilitate timely completion of tasks to sustain daily operations and complete special projects; Assists program staff as necessary EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: ********BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT A MUST************* BA/BS marketing, business, human resources or related fields; Recruitment and/or Staffing Industry experience a plus.
High volume work environment, particularly in human services, workforce development or an equivalent combination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Work experience: 4 years plus
Recruitment/Staffing Industry experience: 4 years plus
Account management experience: 3 years plus
Basic understanding of employment laws as they apply to the hiring process
Strong communication and organization skills, computer skills, publishing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
The ability to relate well with individuals, ability to motivate, and posses experience in working with individuals having one or more barriers to employment including parole and probation
Knowledge of various job search strategies, resources and actions plans
Ability to follow instructions well; Adaptable, flexible and a fast learner; Creative and able to meet deadlines; Work well under pressure and goal oriented; Work well within a team concept
