Primary Responsibilities: The position of Clinical Services Coordinator is responsible for providing direct services that respond to the immediate emotional and physical needs (excluding medical care) of victims of crime and their families.
This is facilitated by using a family-centered, strength based model of support and comprehensive case management.
Tools include assessment, advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, therapy, and safety planning to adults, children and their families.
Primary responsibilities include providing crisis intervention counseling and long term counseling to adult and child victims of domestic violence.
Major Duties: Schedule and conduct intakes and assessments of child clinical casesSchedule and conduct adult intakes as needed Provide individual counseling to children after assessment of case has been completed.
Proved case management for child and non-offending family members.
Provide individual counseling to adults.
Make appropriate referrals when needed after consultation with Community Services Coordinator Facilitate children support groups.
Facilitate non-offending care giver groups.
Provide immediate crisis intervention services and safety planning to clientsAssist in recruitment, interview process, and supervision of selected interns.
Conduct outreach to establish professional relationships with community collaterals to enhance resources.
Facilitate trainings for JGCC on an as needed basisAnswer hotline calls and follow through with service delivery and appropriate referralsProvide back-up assistance to hotline on rotating scheduleComplete DSS kids grant quarterly reportAttend DSS North Node meetings as appropriateAttend recommended trainings as approved by Associate DirectorAll other duties and projects assigned by Associate Director and Community Services Coordinator Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required: 3-5 years experience working with child victims of trauma and or sexual assault and their families.
Training in counseling, domestic violence, crisis intervention and case management.
