Mechanical Supervisor, Audit Job in Houston 77001, Texas US

Responsible for providing uniform Physical Asset Auditing through the development of standard auditing practices.

This will include the training of audit personnel, development of a standardized approach in the conduction of the actual audits, by providing technical input into the process.

Primary Responsibilities · Attend Rig Audits as the Corporate representative, as liaison between the audit team and rig operations.

Assist in the development of Mechanical Technical Standards to audit against and establish clear acceptance where possible using Pride, Industry, Regulatory, and OEM standards.

Communicate with rig maintenance personnel during audits to ensure all equipment or safety issues are captured during the audit.

· Develop and provide lessons learned from audits to create a continuously improving audit system.

Provide input into the development of a standardized Audit Checklist, related to mechanical issues.

Keep abreast of rig Shipyard project schedules in order to provide audits for the development of work scope in sufficient time to plan.

· Support the monitoring of equipment related audit action items and provide assistance to the rig and Operation Support Group when required.

· Conduct Audits on repair facilities.

· Assist in follow-up status reporting of completed actions to operations and Corporate Management.

· Provide technical assistance to the field when required.

· Able to positively interact with personnel from different cultures.

· Strong time management skills.

Education: · High School Diploma · Advanced Degree Preferred Professional Experience: 5-7 years experience with Offshore Industry experience in the area of equipment maintenance and repair.

Familiar with rig related equipment and systems.

Skills – Technical: DP Drillship/Semi-submersible experience is preferred.

Experience in a frontline leadership position eg Technical Co-coordinator/Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer is preferred.

Past MODU's audit experience is preferred.

Considerable equipment related experience in the offshore industry.

Understanding and experience with maintenance programs, equipment and maintenance audits.

Skills – Communication: Proficiency at the "advanced level" in the following: Microsoft Windows operating environment MS Word MS Excel Maximo Skills – People: Excellent communication, organizational and managerial skills are required to effectively communicate with region, and rig management and various technical and supporting organizations.

Acts to reach sound decisions in managing a successful and effective Technical Physical Asset Auditing Program.

Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, or Other Requirements: A United States' Coast Guard/European issued Chief Engineer (motor -unlimited) license is preferred Pride is an Equal Opportunity Employer
